Arthur Kaplan Jewellers was founded in 1973 by Mr Arthur Norman Kaplan, who came from a family of great jewellers (his great uncle being the personal jeweller of Paul Kruger).

Mr Kaplan opened his first store in the City Centre Arcade in Pretoria and the group soon expanded to 9 stores, listing on the JSE in October 1987, including an incentive trust for employees. Today the company has 20 retail outlets, recognised by discerning shoppers from all aspects of the community as well as all over the country.

Arthur Kaplan Jewellers is found in all main shopping malls in the Western Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Bloemfontein, as well as many other outlying centres, offering a wide variety of payment plans (from 6 to 12 months), placing them firmly in the market as the affordable, yet prestigious jeweller.
